Finesse Secondary Server Reinstallation

Hi,

We have to reinstall finesse secondary server with different Host Name and IP.

Do we need to reinstall finesse primary also or just change the Secondary host name in the cfadmin portal.

What is the correct procedure ?

Reinstall it and then tell the primary about the new server. Once you tell the secondary about the primary it will get its configuration.

never done this but per the cfadmin page, I was under the impression that you need to update the secondary new hostname/IP before you even start the finesse secondary build.

I did as u mentioned. my step is below.

1) change the Secondary host name in Primary server with cfadmin.

2) Restart the services in Primary Server

3) Install the new Secondary server and given the primary server details where is required.

Looks like you can't change without the re-install of finesse pub. Please check the screenshot attached. This is from 12.5 PCCE.

Found this in the Finesse 12.5 install guide.

Changing the Cisco Finesse hostname, domain or IP address after installation is supported from Release 12.5(1) ES2 COP.
