HDS Upgrade from 7.2 to 7.5

I will be performing an ICM upgrade from 7.2 to 7.5.  When reading the common ground upgrade process on the AW/HDS/Webview it only states to use the EDMT on the HDS database.  It doesn't mention anything about using the EDMT on the AW or Webview database.  Does anyone know if the EDMT should also be used on the AW and Webview databases?

The EDMT is only to be used on HDS and Loggers, when you start the upgrade of the ICM , it will upgrade the awdb , after that you can do a local initialize to release all the config then get it from the loggers .

Thanks for the reply.  Do you have to do the Initialize Local Database?  If the EDMT converts the hds database and the ICM Upgrade upgrades the awdb database then all should be good right?  Also, do you know if the ICM upgrade also upgrades the wvdb (webview) database?

Hello,

The setup will do everything for you , all what you have to do before running the setup is to make sure that the loggers and HDS are converted using the EDMT tool .

For the initialize local database , since this is common upgrade i don't think you will have to use it , it is usually used within the technology refresh upgrade.

for the webview DB , it will be upgraded with the ICM setup , however don't forget to turn off all the services on the AW server (distributor and webview) and set them to manual , then start the upgrade for the webview third party tools , the system will ask you for a restart , when the box restarted , it will give you a error that the jaguar service is no coming up , don't panic , this is normal , then start the ICM setup , the system will upgrade the AW and webview and restart the box , after that start the service.
