How to find the Redhat version on CUCM?

Hi All,

Can you tell me how to find the Redhat version on Cisco's server (CUCM, UCCX, CUC, etc....)?

Is there a CLI command or Webpage to check the Redhat version?

Thanks a lot for your help.

show status will give you the Unified OS Version

Hi Aubert,

check : show tech version and find " redhat"

redhat-release-server  6Server(6.2.0.3.el6)

Otherwise we can find through ESXi - go to Virtual machine Edit settings -Options -General Options - Guest Operating System.

Thanks,

S.Ram

Hi there

OVA contains all supported virtual machine configurations of your CUCM release.

Login to vsphere client, select the VM, Edit Settings >> Options

Hope this helps!

Hi Rath,

Thanks a lot fo your email but can you explain me what is the difference between with 'show tech' with the redhat's release and in VM, in Edit Settings/Options.

Show tech version (CLI):

redhat-release-server  6Server(6.6.0.2.el6).

and

in VM/Edit Settings/Options (VspherClient):

Redhat Enterprise linux 6 (64bits).

I need to know the redhat version with the release, thanks a lor for your reply.

Below command should also give you the exact the Redhat version:

show packages active redhat-release

Example from CUCM lab:

admin:show packages active redhat-release
Active Side Package(s): for redhat-release package(s)
redhat-release-server-XXX

Good information! Thank you for sharing with the Cisco community.

Thank you!!
