Good Afternoon,
I need to extend the time my logger retains summary information. Currently we are retaining 3 months of data both detailed and summary.
I need to retain my summary data for 24 months, but the detailed data can remain at 3 months.
Any ideas?

I think the maximum time for retaining the summary information in the logger is for 3 months.

Data retention periods are set in the Registry. The hazard with increasing them in the Logger is the expanded database size necessary to do this and eventually someone (or many someones) will be running reports off this information. This would potentially impact the real-time Logger components (your mission critical needs).
Increasing retention in the HDS is a different story. ICM v6.0 default is 1095 days - even for 5 min and 30 min tables - way too high in my opinion. You are only limited by Database sizing and harddrive space on the HDS. Don't forget your backup methodology as you grow this DB - you may exceed the backup ability.
The doc on this:

Note that the reg tree changes in ICM v5 and above to HKLM\software\Cisco Systems, Inc.\
I hope that this helps,
/Jeff
