Jabber registration during CUCM (11.5) Fall back

During a recent Failover testing the jabber devices (CSF profiles) failed to register based on the priority defined in CM group. The other Cisco handsets automatically registered themselves to the UC server at the secondary subscribers.
But this did not work for Jabber clients. The Jabber client lost connectivity when the primary sub was disconnected.
In Jabber, here was the connection status:
Presence: xx.xx.xx.xx Connected
Deskphone: xx.xx.xx.xx Not Connected
The Deskphone connectivity should have automatically switched from subscriber 1 to subscriber 2. But this didn't occur. How to troubleshoot this issue?
