JRE 1.8 on UCCE (ICM) 11.6 - is it safe to remove old jre versions for example 1.6 and 1.7

Our ICM 11.6 nodes running on Windows 2012 server have "latest"java runtime installed 1.8

however, they also have older versions installed which were not automatically removed when jre was updated.

our security scans are flagging these older jre versions for removal.

I really cant anticipate any issues with leaving only 1.8 and removing the older jre's as the cisco applciation is only using the one JRE - that is my thinking.

I was asked to double check, hence this post.

please keep me honest - feedback appreciated !

Yes, this is perfectly safe. The only thing you may want to double check is any dependencies with your CVP applications and if there are any references to the old Java version paths.

OK thanks for the reply. no cvp, but we do have some other custom java batch jobs running on non-ICM servers where obviously your point is also rellevant. cheers!
