Mediasense 10.5 search and play - Internet explorer 11 fails

Hi

We receive the the following error message whenever we use IE 11 to play recording in MediaSense search and play:

"The video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported"

Works fine in Firefox and Chrome

Tried various options - compatibility mode, disabling flash, Disabling IE protected mode with no success

Anyone struck this before?

Thanks

Tim

A bit late but it might be of use to someone.

I had this issue in 10.5(1)SU1

It was because I had the "Enable In-browser Player" set in Search and Play Configuration under MediaSense admin. This forces the browser to use the HTML5 in browser option which gave the message you are seeing.

Unticking the option set it to use a java based player which worked ok.

Thank you - this helped me!

I'm also having this same issue with Firefox 42.0 and Media Sense 10.5.1 SU2.

Windows 8.1  64 bit  (FF is 32 bit)

I'd rather not use the Java player.  Is there a resolution ?

Error Message: "The video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported."

I have this issue on Firefox (ESR 47.0)

Workaround documented is for IE 11.

Anyone have ideas on what is needed to get it to work on Firefox?

I hope this will be useful for someone.

I had issues with Media Sense 11 with IE 11 / Chrome 51.0.2704.84

Yes Technotes for this issue works.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/customer-collaboration/mediasense/118845-technote-mediasense-00.html

I was missing below steps

  1. Navigate to the Tools menu, and select Internet Options.

  2. Click the Advanced tab and scroll to the bottom of the Settings list.

  3. Uncheck the Warn about certificate address mismatch check box. This setting prevents the execution of the in-line player, even when the certificates are loaded.

Thanks,

HRS

Excellent ! this is what worked for me exactly..
