Monitor service for Mediasense failure

Is it possible to monitor a service on CUCM/UCCX to detect if Mediasense recording stops/fails?

Mediasense has an API and I believe a subscription interface too, you could explore that to see if there's anything specific which tells you when there are no sessions being recorded.
