Hi all,

Please I need Help.

The last weekend, we changed the Time Zone in we Cluster of UCCX 8.02.

Now when entry to administration page, show a warning that says.

“The Unified CCX Systems is currently using a license that has a grace period of 30 days”

How i can solve this problem. I must go back with the change , and return time zone previous ?

Thanks

Guillermo

Welcome to the wonderful world of Cisco Licensing with 8.5 (perhaps 8.0 as well). Changes to the IP address, hostname, DNS, Time Zone, and a few other fields will change your License MAC and invalidate all licenses.

Send an email to licensing@cisco.com asking them to rehost your license for the new license mac.

Hi Tanner,

But, If return to the previous configuration(time zone), the issue is solved?

Thanks,

Guillermo

Hi,

Could you please let me know how did you change the Time Zone , I have UCCX 8.5 and from System Parameter it's not possible to change this filed it's for view only

Regards,

Hi-

You should be able to accomplish this using the 'set timezone' command in the CLI:

set timezone

This command lets you change the system time zone.

Command syntax

set timezone timezone

Parameters

  •  timezone specifies the new time zone.

Note Although the list of available time zones produced by the show timezone list command includes Factory, Cisco Unified Communications Manager does not support the Factory time zone.

Usage Guidelines

If Cisco Unified Communications Manager or Cisco Unity Connection is installed on VMware, running the set timezonecommand changes the calculated value of the license MAC and invalidates the Cisco Unified CM or Connection license.

For more information on getting replacement Cisco Unified CM licenses, see the section “Obtaining Rehosted Licenses When You Change License MAC Parameters” in the I nstalling Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 8.0(2) guide at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/install/8_0_2/install/cmins802.html#wp524389.

For information on getting replacement Connection licenses, see the “Managing Licenses in Cisco Unity Connection” chapter of the System Administration Guide for Cisco Unity Connection athttp://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6509/prod_maintenance_guides_list.html .

In a Cisco Unity Connection cluster, the subscriber server must be configured to use the same time zone as the publisher server.

Enter enough characters to uniquely identify the new time zone. Be aware that the time-zone name is case-sensitive.

Caution You must restart the system after you change the time zone.

Requirements

Command privilege level: 0

Allowed during upgrade: No

Example

This example sets the time zone to Pacific time.

set timezone Pac

After that has been reset and you've rebooted you'll need to have your license rehosted by the Licencing team to the new MAC address.  That is as simple as providing the license files and new license MAC to the licensing team via a TAC case and requesting that they be rehosted.
