Has anyone worked on reconfigure UCCX version 8.5 server when CUCM publisher (8.0.3) is changed to a new ip address. Please share your experience and how complicated it was to do this.
Thanks.

Hi Dat Pham,
You need to use the below command,
set uccx provider ip axl
Sets the Unified CCX AXL provider IP address. This command should only be used when the IP address of Unified CM has been changed and Unified CCX is being pointed to the new IP address.
Please refer the below link from page 30 onwards on the procedure for successful usage.
Hope it helps.

Thanks Anand,
I will test with this. I have opened a TAC case also, and engineer responded below that it would require root access to perform the change which is puzzled me a little bit.

The only steps that we need to do is a FRESH_INSTALL using the CET tool so we can reconfigure your UCCX to point to the new ip address for the AXL, JTAPI and RMCM user.
Using the CET tool now is not that easy as it was on UCCX windows were you just needed to open /cmd and enter CET. Now this tool needs to be accessed via root access so we can put your system in fresh_install mode.

Hi,
Could you please ask the TAC engineer why he is not using the above command? IS there any defect around it? If so please update this thread with the defect ID , that will help others as well.
Thanks,
Anand

TAC replied back and stated it will work the same by doing from cli, it does require a restart of the engine and of the Cisco tomcat service.
set uccx provider ip axl
set uccx provider ip jtapi
set uccx provider ip rmcm
Remember to specify all CUCM ip addresses that are part of the cluster.
