Recorded caller voice for authentication into IP IVR or CVP?

Hi,

In Cisco's IP IVR or CVP system, when an incoming caller first arrives, is there any way to use the caller voice for authentication instead of using PIN or passwords.  For example, caller voice is recorded in real-time and then send this captured voice to the "Voice Biometric System" to get a verification during the caller interaction with IVR.

So instead use VXML, MRCP, etc, the caller's voice is just recorded and then send it to another system for validation via HTTP.

The following Cisco developer forum thread from June 2012 had the following response from our DE,

> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

> Currently there is no support for Voice Biometrics technologies on VXML GW. Also, there are no plans to support this in immediate future it seems.

Any further upates on the above comment?  Thank you!
