Hello everyone,

any ideas for uccx agents that need to work from home? MRA doesn't support this implementation. Any ideas with vpn deployment?

Thanks in advance

If using VPN, have you considered the setup with IP Communicator and Extension Mobility?

Could you please elaborate a bit more regarding this deployment?

Cisco IP Communicator is a softphone client which runs on the Agents computer, just like Cisco Finesse (or Cisco Agent Desktop if you're still using that). Therefore, if the Agent were to secure their communication on the computer with a VPN to the Enterprise network, not only would Cisco Finesse work, but the softphone would register and work too. The Agent would now just need a headset they could use on their computer to hear and speak to the caller. Like a USB headset for example.

Hi Kalliopi

Another option, if you have a desktop delivered by Citrix, is to use Jabber VXME as a softphone. Here is a link to documentation page that shows the general concept for the endpoint: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/vxc/english/vxme-windows/11-0/vxme_deploy/VXME_BK_DC806D98_00_deployment-installation-cisco-vxme-windows/Cisco_Virtualization_Experience_Media_Engine_Overview.pdf

In this scenario, everything works in the virtual desktop but the voice is only exchanged between "VPN client" and virtualized station.
