SocialMiner Deployment in DMZ Customer Website in Cloud

Hi,

Our customer has Socialminer deployed (11.6.1) in their DMZ with a private IP address.

Socialminer is integrated with UCCX which sits inside the customers corporate network.

We would like to enable the Web Chat function and have the UCCX agents deal with this channel.

From documentation, it appears that NAT is not supported. If this is the case how can the cloud hosted web site access the socialminer server which sits in the DMZ on a private address.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks…

The documentation is a little confusing, but yes, you can NAT the SM in the scenario you're describing.  You just don't want to NAT the SM to UCCX (which you shouldn't need to anyway).

Anthony Thanks for your quick response. Your correct the documentation is confusing. I have read other posts regarding this but they don't make it clear either. What you say makes total sense, a public DNS record and Public IP would be required to permit access from the public Internet to the SM in the DMZ.
