Supervisor without IPCC extension?

Is it possible in Verson 8 to add a Supervisor to a Q without them having and IPCC extension?

I think it is not possible. without IPCC extension it will not appear in resources list at uccx.

Hi Peter,

If you are referring to UCCX, than yes Supervisor needs to be An Agent (for that he needs an IPCC Extension), without which you can not do it.

Of course, if you don't need telephony features you can just make up any unused non-overlapping number, whack it on a device profile, and associate it to the user you want to make a supervisor.

I know this has been answered, but you can just make the users primary extension controlled by IPCC.  Add them as a supervisor and add set them to control a group.  They just aren't added any skills.  I do not see a reason to create a dummy extension.

I had assumed that the OP had assumed that there was a requirement to have some sort of 'valid' extension.. it just needs to be any number.

But yes, your point is valid, if the account has an associated unique line of any sort, it can be the IPCC Extension and that would apply for most users.

In my world, I tend to assign an obscure system number to the account which is outside the customers DDI or other 'useful' ranges so that I can log in and perform functions and stand a chance of it being configured the way I left it when I get a support call in the night or called back to site 12 months later, so I kind of start thinking from there :-0
