UCCE Database question re Machine_x tables

Hi All,

I wondered if someone might be able to assist with a few questions i had on the Machine_x tables in the UCCE database and how/when these are populated?

  1. In what deployment scenario should we expect the Machine_ tables (Machine_Host, Machine_Address, Machine_Service) be populated?
  2. Is having 0 records in each table indicative of having a standalone UCCE server?

hi,

1. data in Machine tables should be populated after you set UCCE deployment type and after you manually add VOS servers like Finesse/CUIC/Socialminer

2. even for standalone UCCE there should be records.

What is your deployment type?

1. information in Machine tables ought to be populated after you set UCCE organization type and after you physically include VOS servers like Finesse/CUIC/Socialminer

2. notwithstanding for independent UCCE there ought to be records.

Thank you for your replies

I have checked and the deployment type is 13 "UCCE: Progger (Lab Only)"

  1. what version is it?
  2. when you login into CCEADmin page and navigate to deployment, do you see your Progger and AW server ?
  3. Router service is started and running?

1)The version is: 11.0.1

2) Yes

3) Yes all services/processes appear to be running

Are you querying Machine table on which server and against what database?

my lab environment has all roles on a single server (inc SQL) so I have checked the tables on all the available databases:

<instance>_awdb

<instance>_hds

<instance>_side

Machine Inventory tables are populated under below deployments

AGENT_2K_ROGGER_DEPLOYMENT

AGENT_4K_ROGGER_DEPLOYMENT

AGENT_8K_ROUTER_LOGGER_DEPLOYMENT

AGENT_12K_ROUTER_LOGGER_DEPLOYMENT

ICM_PROGGER

HCS_2000_DEPLOYMENT

HCS_4000_DEPLOYMENT

HCS_12000_DEPLOYMENT

The entries are written by components, during starup of Router ,PG services entries will be written to the tables.

In case of PCCE deployment, Unified Config writes the entries.

Please try to run exit_router  from rttest tool and exit_opc from opctest. These commands clear Router and OPC memory and restart them, DO NOT RUN them in production hours.

rttest /cust pod1 /node RouterA

where ins - your instance

opctest /cust pod1 /node PG1A

where ins - your instance

If still no data in tables, i would advise to open a TAC case to investigate.

Thank you i will try this later today
