How do I apply UCCX upgrade licenses? Is it similar LIC file as when i spin up new server or is there something special I trade in old ones and then get new LIC file? This is for UCCX 11.6

You need to obtain an upgrade license from the Cisco Licensing team. For example if you upgrade from 10.6 to 11.6 the version inside the license file should be 11.6.

Can I use Cisco PUT to upgrade my current licenses? Do I need to buy the UPG CCX license when my smartnet has expired?

Hi ,

Upgrading UCCX from version 10.6(1) to 11.6, why it will require upgrade license. Can you explain on this ? Its a system software upgrade and the parameter for License MAC is not altered , so license MAC will not change.

It’s a major version upgrade. A few different UC products from Cisco require a new license to support the new version.
