Update UCCX CAD Plugin URL

Hi,

I have a UCCX 7.0(1)SR05_Build504 cluster. When I install CAD through AppAdmin or AppUser the CAD MSI file installs fine but when the application is run for the first time I get a message stating that there is a newer version available which is automatically installed and the PC then needs a reboot.

Is there any way of updating the CAD plugin URL so that the latest version is installed rather than having to go through the two step process described above?

thanks

Hi James

Not quite so simple I'm afraid - there are basically two MSIs (well, three if you count agent and agent/sup packages seperately). First is the base package (i.e. supervisor.msi or agent.msi), and then a 'CAD Clients Service Release.msi' which can only be installed after one of the two base packages is installed.

If you use a desktop app deployment package (e.g. SMS or whatever) you can push the two packages out in sequence easy enough; otherwise you are stuck with the two-hop install. You can go direct to the URLs one you've figured them out and just run each in sequence manually, but that doesn't save much time over just running the thing (aside from the need to log in to appadmin etc I guess).
