Hello Oscar,

You need to upgrade to SU1 first using the UCSInstall_UCCX_8_5_1_UCOS_8.5.1.11001-35.sgn.iso file after that I recommend you to install the cop files (ciscouccx.851SU1.cop.sgn and ciscouccx.851SU1.cop.sgn).

The upgrade process for the 8.5(1) SU1 install process can be found in the following link

The patch install process can be found in the following link

Walter, for legacy features that existed only on 8.0su3 is it safe to say that 8.5su1 is just as stable as 8.0su3? Or is there a potential gap here from a bug/fix perspective that maybe was rolled into 8.0su3 but didn't make it into 8.5su1 and will have to wait until 8.5su2? BTW, when is that scheduled to release? I can also do a search on this but it would be helpful in this response for reference. Thanks for any insight!

I dont know a ETA for the SU2 of UCCX since SU1 was released a couple of moths ago, I will have to check here to see if I can find any information.

Hello,

The target date for UCCX 8.5(1)SU2 is 09/15, but as you know, it's always possible it gets delayed.

Hello Oscar,

I will be more than happy to help you with this case.

Reading your case description, I understand that you are a little confused about the UCCX 8.5(1)SU1 patches.

First of all, you will need to install the UCSInstall_UCCX_8_5_1_UCOS_8.5.1.11001-35.sgn.iso, via Web or via CLI.

You can use this link for more help about upgrading UCCX: http://www.cisco.com/web/ccbu/CRS/8/5/1/SU1/UCCX_851SU1_ReleaseNotes.pdf

After upgrading to UCCX 8.5(1)SU1, I recommend you to apply the other two cop files ciscouccx.851SU1.cop.sgn and ciscouccx.851SU1RecMonFixes.cop.sgn, no matter which order you select.

These release notes can help you:

http://www.cisco.com/web/ccbu/CRS/8/5/1/SU1/ReadMe-ciscouccx_851SU1_RecMonFixes_cop.pdf

About your question of how to install the patches via CLI, you just have to enter the command “utils system upgrade initiate” and a wizard will guide you through the process.

I wanted to make sure you received my contact information, so please contact me at your convenience.

I have accepted your service request; I would like to retain ownership to avoid any delays in resolving your issue.

Thanks in advance,

Been trying to download the UCSInstall_UCCX_8_5_1_UCOS_8.5.1.11001-35.sgn.iso file from Cisco site for the last 3 days with no such luck. The file keeps getting corrupted sicne it's 3GB+. Any chance getting these in 2 smaller files (ie. part 1 and part 2)? Got a cutover this weekend...

The upgrade file was created and upload it as just one file to avoid issues during the join process.
