IAC User Roles are categorized by these user classifications:
- Cloud Provider
- Tenant Administrator
- End User
- Solution Designer
Cloud Provider - Technical
The Cloud Provider Technical Administrator role is responsible for setting up Cloud infrastructure and ensuring that administrators are assigned for managing Tenants. This role is also associated with connecting the Cloud, POD management, resource utilization, and life-cycle management.
Cloud Provider - Business
The Cloud Provider Business Administrator role has financial responsibility for the Cloud. This role is associated with setting default pricing and billable items, configuring quotas, and monitoring run rates. For Tenant management, the user with the irole can assign Tenant-level administrators, configure service offerings, and assign approvers.
Provider Engineer - Solution Designer
The Solution Designer role represents users who extend and integrate Cloud Management products according to their client's Cloud infrastructure design and service offer requirements.
Tenant Administrator - Technical
The Tenant Technical Administrator role is responsible for user administration for the Tenant to which they are assigned. This includes setting up new organizations and organization networks for the Organization Technical Administrator to manage, and ordering on behalf of the Tenant user.
Tenant Business - Technical
The Tenant Business Administrator role has financial responsibility for the Tenant's Cloud, which includes monitoring quotas and run rates, and making recommendations for reducing costs and expenditures.
Organization Administrator - Technical
The Organization Technical Administrator role is responsible for user administration for the Organizaiton to which they are assigned. This includes setting up new user and server networks, defining and deploying instances of virtual data center templates, as well as ordering on behalf of the Organization user.
Server Owner - Virtual and Physical
The Server Owner role represents users of the Cloud who use the server snapshot feature, request new servers from the Tenant's catalog, and extend server instances.
