Introduction

This is a short guide on how to configure and verify that Network State Tracking is working with the Nexus 1000V.

Network State Tracking allows the Nexus 1000V to determine if an upstream network path has failed and if so fail traffic over to a link that is working.

if I had n4k, followed by N5K, could i use this feature to alert the vNIC that a n5k has gone out?

Hi,

From configuration guidelines and limitations:

• Network State Tracking is only supported with HP  Virtual Connect where one physical link from the Flex-10 fabric appears  as four Flex-10 NICs (physical NICs) to the VMkernel.

Can you confirm it will not work with other blade switch?
