The 2348UPQ can be used for FCoE, but not as a native FC port.   The capability to use the ports as native FC will be available later this year.

To be able to bind the VFC to the FEX port, if using EVPC or Adapter FEX, you need to configure FCoE under the FEX, IE...

Any status on when native FC support is coming to the 2348UPQ?

Cisco Employee

(1)It will be supported if the upstream switch is a Nexus 5600.

(2)The version of firmware that supports this is 7.3(0)N1(1) or above, which is not yet available.

No update on when this will be available.

Best regards,

Hello, according to the documentation this feature is available. "Cisco Nexus 2348UPQ FEX ASIC supports native FC ports. This feature was introduced in 7.3(0)N1(1)". https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/nexus5600/sw/fcoe/7x/b_5600_FCoE_Config_7x/configuring_unified_fex_with_fc.pdf. Best Regards.
