Cisco 6807-XL problem with bootdisk flash - replace a C6800-SUP6T

Hello to all,

We had encounter a problem while updating the IOS of our couple of Cisco 6807XL. Those two switches are configured in VSS mode with 3 VSL link (2 on the supervisor and 1 on a 10G module), we also have a Fast-hello link on another module.

While updating the IOS in both the supervisor, we had a problem with the second chassis. We tryed to do a filesystem check but it seem there is a problem with the flash:

switch# fsck slavebootdisk:

Starting File System integrity check
NOTE: File System will be deinited and later rebuilt

Partition Table check ...[Failed]

Rebuilding the file system
%Error checking slavebootdisk: (Failed Sector Read)
sw-coreve#
Apr 12 14:33:59.123: %USBFLASH-SW2_STBY-3-RDERROR: Failures in usbflash sector read, sect = 0, nsect = 1, device = bootdisk
switch#
-Traceback= 2228359z 50D8C0Dz 55BFB45z 55B16C3z 55AD5AFz 55B3C03z 55BEEB8z 50D7B84z 26B0405z 5CE7605z 5CE91EFz
switch#
switch#dir slavebootdisk:
%Error opening slavebootdisk:/ (No such device)

After the fsck command the standby supervisor don’t see the flash as if it is not connected.

Now we want to replace the supervisor on the second chassis. We read out some guide for replace a supervisor for the Catalyst 6500 but not for a C6800-SUP6T. Any idea on the procedure to avoid accidentally reload of the first supervisor or other problems?

thank you in advance
