Cisco Nexus 5010 ERROR: Module type doesn't support this CLI

Hello together,

I have inserted  the Expansion module N5K-M1008 in the Cisco Nexus 5010.

I would like to set the ports with the command:

#Slot 2

#port 1-8 type ethernet

Then Comes the Output: ERROR: Module type doesn't support this CLI

Can you help me?

The error you receive is expected since N5K-M1008 module has only FC ports:

N5K-M1008(=)

Okay, so I did the same as OP did but instead to the correct port type: FC. And I still got the error 

ERROR: Module type doesn't support this CLI

what gives?
