Hello Experts,

Could someone please provide solution on below

I have back to back vPC and hsrp is configured on both pairs. They have vlan 825 used between them. hsrp for this vlan 825 is active on STRG1 and standby on CORE1 and for STRG2 and CORE2 its in LISTEN state. We have subnet 10.28.8.216/29 used between CORE & STRG switches.

hsrp ip used between CORE1&2 is 10.28.8.218 and hsrp ip used between STRG1&2 is 10.28.8.220.

When i ping hsrp ip(10.28.8.220) used between STRG1 & STRG2 from CORE1&2 its not pinging and vice versa. vPC is up and all vlans are allowed on trunk as well.

Please help

Can you please answer below questions for better clarity of your requirement:

  1. Why do you need HSRP on STRG switches?
  2. Do you have any external destination to reach to?
  3. Do you have requirement of DC end points to communicate with end points outside DC?

Could you please share your complete configuration.
