Hello,
I have different power sources for my 9396px and 9372px and I can mix UCSC-PSU-930WDC together with N9K-PAC-650W, however the Cisco documentation does say in bold text that it should not be done.
Does anybody have any idea why? Can we damage the switch if both AC and DC power supplies are mixed, or is our worry only related to the fact that one of the power supply may be more powerful than the other?
Currently I have a device running with 2x DC PSU but I want to rework it with AC power supplies, does this mean that I can't do it without powering the device off?
Thank you !

I do not think this is supported mixing DC and AC in same switch.

In fact I plugged a DC together with an AC in a 9396px but didn't plug the power because I got scared. It was properly recognized by the switch but I can't say what would happen with the power redundancy configuration or the backplane itself. Anyone else ever tried ?
