Moving between vSPHERE servers?

Existing installation of vSphere 4.1 with a UCS chassis and a 1000v switch.

New installation of vSphere 5.

What is the best/preferred method(s) of moving all the ESXi hosts (the 8 UCS blades) that all communicate with the 1000v from the vSphere 4 installation to the vSphere5 installation?

My Cisco Tech guy is looking into it, but wanted to see if anyone has done it....with/without downtime?
