N1K VEM Disconnection "ERSPAN-VEM : L3Control/ERSPAN"

Hello all,

during a troubleshooting on my infrastructure due a problem with VMWare
ESXi,  I notice a lot of "ERSPAN-VEM : L3Control/ERSPAN" during the DHCP renew
on L3 Control VMKernel interface.

I don't find any related documentation on that, but I would to know if the
VMK for L3 communication on ESXi is supported in DHCP or not.

Hi Valentino,

VMK for L3 communication on ESXi in DHCP should work without any problems. You will get "ERSPAN-VEM : L3Control/ERSPAN" messages on VSM when a vmknic with "l3 capability" is created,removed or ip addr change.

Can you please let us know if this dhcp configuration is giving problems with VSM-VEM connectivity or any other issues seen. Also can you give the complete message.
