N3K N3548-24P-LIC installation and do we need downtime?

We have a N3K-C3524P-XL with 24 port enable by default; And we need additional 24 port license recently.

How do we apply the license? using command install license xxx is ok? and do we need reboot the box, or do we need downtime?

Yes, install license x is the command you need to use.

show license usage can help you verify the status of your switch licenses.

Regarding reboot of the switch, I am not entirely sure, but I think yes, a reload will be needed.

because the device is in production environment, we have concern about reboot the box

You can install the license. If there is need for reload, you will be prompted with a message, and you can do the manual reboot anytime you want. if you do not see any prompt, and the ports are available to use, then no need for reload.
