Nexus 5548 Licensing

Can someone answer the following for me please

I have x2 5548 Nexus switches each with a N55-M16UP expansion card installed

Both have a N55-8P-SSK9 license

I have a second pair of Nexus 5548s. I have a requirement to

Move the N55-M16UP to the new 5548s

I have been told by Cisco that I can not move the N55-8P-SSK9 license unless the original switch is RMA

My question is

Each (new) Nexus has a license for 32 ports to be fc, as part of the base bundle

Can I mix and match for example

Module 1 = 16 fc ports
Module 2 = 16 fc ports (the 16 port expansion card)

Or do I need a separate license for the expansion card?

Hello,

The licenses are tied to chassis and not the module itself. Try and ask TAC to rehost the licenses to a new chassis.
