I have two issues that I can't find the answer for online. I had to swap out two line cards (a 10/40 gbps ethernet module and a 1/10 gbps moudule.)
Both modules are green and have a status of "ok." The 10/40 gbps module's interfaces came up and I allocated all except one to the proper VDCs; however, the 1/10 module's interfaces do not show in the management VDC or the production VDCs that they were originally assigned to.
The second issue is that on the 10/40 card, interface 7 unlike the other interfaces on the card, is broken down into subinterfaces eth1/7/1 - eth1/7/4. Eth1/7/1 does not appear when I do a "show interface status" and when I try to allocate the other three subinterfaces to a VDC I get this error "Port allocate not supported on this interface!"
Does anybody have an idea of what the cause of these issues are?

Hello Germaine,
Without any outputs/logs, it will be very hard to reply to your request.
If device is under contract, the best way to deal with your issue would be to open a TAC case.
Have a nice day.

For the first problem, you must check first if the module 1/10 was ok discovered by the chassis or if there are any faults. You can achieve this by using these commands :
show module
show logging log
For the second issue, you cannot allocate different subinterface of the same parent interface to different VDCs. Error you get is expected.
Take care,

Thanks for the response.
For the subinterfaces, I was trying to add them to VDC 2 but was unable to. I then tried to force them back to just look like one interface and was unable to do that as well. I just moved the cable to another interface and split that interface into four and was able to add them to the proper VDC. I still don't know what the issue is with eth1/7 but I've moved on from that.
For the module, everything shows "OK" on the show module command. I've sent the output from the "Show tech" and "Show logging" to support and am waiting on their response.
