Nexus 7K double-sided

can i configure double-sided with six Nexus 7000?

Hi @Maicol,

You can use no more than 2 Nexus in a vPC.

You can connect 2 Nexus in vPC to other 2 Nexus in vPC to form the so called Double-Sided vPC topology.

Let's say that in the above image, the N7ks are the Aggregation Layer and the N5ks the Access Layer.

 

If you wish, you can repeat the same pattern and use a third pair of Nexus in vPCs and connect them as a "sub-Access Layer" to the N5k01 & N5k02 in Double-Sided vPC fashion.

 

Or you can take the third pair of Nexus in vPC and connect them to the N7Ks to create another Access Layer, similarly to the already in place N5Ks.

 

In no case, you can have a vPC cluster with more than 2 Nexus switches.

 

Also very important, when configuring Double-Sided vPC, make sure that the configuration of the vPC domain ID between the vPC clusters differs, otherwise LACP will not bring up all links between the vPC clusters.
