We plan on upgrading our existing pair of Nexus 7Ks from their current SUP1s to SUP2Es. I found this document to follow when performing the upgrade, but I'm unsure as to how to upgrade to the FAB2 and M3 modules. Can anyone provide documentation?

Hello,
Unfortunately M3 cards do not work with M1. You can reference the following link for more details:

Hello Scott,
Because SUP1 to SUP2E requires the entire chassis to be powered down I would suggest you to replace the fabric modules and the I/O modules at that time. Fabrics do not require any changes into the configuration whereas the M3 module might require some adjustments. First of all you might need to reconfigure the interfaces if you are moving from a different port density module. Secondarily you might have some module specific configurations (like hardware rate limits) that might need to be amended as well.
Make sure that you take out the device from the data path before the maintenance so you will have time to review/amend the configuration once imported into the new SUP2E.

Thanks for the response! So if we are moving from a N7K-M148GT-11 to N7K-M348XP-25L can we run these both together, or will the older module need to be removed?
