Hi all.

I have searched related documents regarding syslog server in nexus 9k and cant find anything about port customization in syslog. Does nexus 9k support custom port for syslog server? because i dont want to use default port 514.

Thank you.

Regards,

Ivan

You should be able to set the port within the logging server command by adding port <port #> to the command.

something like: logging server 192.168.25.55 0 port 55514 use-vrf default for example.

Hi Ben,

thank you for your reply.

When i type port , it showed invalid command. Maybe need to activate a feature?

I don't believe it is feature related, but if you want to compare ours has the following features:

feature-set fex
feature private-vlan
feature interface-vlan
feature hsrp
feature lacp
feature vpc
feature lldp

We are also running NXOS 7.0(3)i4(2)

Hmm it's a bit weird. I can't run this cli : logging server 192.168.25.55 0 port 55514 use-vrf default

My hardware is Cisco Nexus9000 C9372PX chassis.

I'm currently running version 7.0(3)I1(2).

Where does it error out ?

Can you do a ' show run all | i server'
