Hi experts,

i understood from cisco document that the version 9.3 starts supporting smart licensing. but looking at the software downloads it seems that the recommended version is 7.x. why is that so? a bit confused here

You are right, as per cisco 7.X still 5 STAR, until you see any improvements and bug fixes next release, most Live environments still on 7.X only.

You can upgrade your intended version of  9.2 or 9.3 make sure you read the release notes and understand the caveats before the upgrade.

10.X  also on the way and ready to download.
