nexus swithches and dhcp

Hello for everybody.

Maybe my question may seem inappropriate. It will be about the possibility of creating dhcp pools on nexus switches. How many did not work with this series, it was impossible to create dhcp pools on these switches, but the other day one person reported that this series supports this functionality, but he could not name exact model.

Is it true, or this man made a mistake?

The Nexus line does not support DHCP server functionality like giving out IP addresses. We find that our customers like to use an external DHCP server if needed in a datacenter environment. Nexus lineup does however support DHCP snooping and DHCP relay. Is it possible your friend was thinking of the 'feature dhcp' command enabling the DHCP server functionality?

Thanks for answer.

No, he meant smth like this

ip dhcp pool test_123
host 10.10.1.0 255.255.255.0
dns-server 10.1.2.3 10.4.5.6
default-router 10.10.1.254
domain-name contoso.com

About external dhcp server - yes, you can create it in windows server (scope/suoer scope).
