Nexus1010_Native VLAN

Hello everyone,

I heared a rumor that i can't use vlan 1 as the native vlan on Nexus1010.

i am trying to connect couple of Nexus1010 (primary & secondary) to Nexus7000 (please see diagram)

there's not enough information out there on Nexus1010. i would appericate any help i can get.

The 1010 requires that all ports connected to the 1010 be trunk ports and that all vlans be tagged. You can pass vlan1 to the 1010 but it has to be a tagged.

We are working to provide more useful documentation on the 1010.

One thing I forgot to mention after looking at your picture. Traffic deemed as "data" traffic on the 1010 would only be used for passing data to/from a vNAM blade at the moment. If you are using the 1010 purely for VSMs there is no reason to have so many data links wired up to the switch.

Now if you are planning on using the vNAM to capture a lot of performance statistics then having that many data links might not be a bad idea.
