I have a search on the web. I noticed that the replacement model for the switches C93180YC-EX, would be the 93180YC-FX3. I got a reseller to quote us this model.
Currently the two c93180 are stacked together to form a VPC domain. Almost 99% of the end devices connected in HA. They included iSCSI and other appliances. Of course that included those Access layer of switches down the link. They are all formed with Port-channels.
Questions
1. When I come with the plan to migrate, is there any suggestion that can give to me on how I should go for? e.g. Setup the two new switches, create a trunk/port-channel to the existing switches, ensure the connections under the new switches are working fine, then migrate the devices to the new switches?
2. The reseller quote us two big numbers besides the switches. The SNTC which i know this is Smart Net total care. I believed this is a must-go. But they quoted us this DCN Advantage Term. I would like to understand this more. I saw some people say this is not a must buy item, and I can't tell if I will miss any new features on this new Nexus switches or not.
