Dear community,
When running the impact assessment on the Nexus 9K it states that the install will be disruptive. however, the upgrade is only a minor one. My question is this:
Under what circumstances will an NX-OS upgrade be disruptive vs non-disruptive?
I was under the impression that minor upgrades can be done via ISSU.
Compatibility check is done:
Module bootable Impact Install-type Reason
------ -------- -------------- ------------ ------
1 yes disruptive reset default upgrade is not hitless
101 yes disruptive reset default upgrade is not hitless
Images will be upgraded according to following table:
Module Image Running-Version(pri:alt) New-Version Upg-Required
------ ---------- ---------------------------------------- -------------------- ------------
1 nxos 7.0(3)I7(4) 7.0(3)I7(6) yes
1 bios v07.59(08/26/2016):v07.17(09/10/2014) v07.65(09/04/2018) yes
101 fex4 7.0(3)I7(4) 7.0(3)I7(6) yes
Thanks.

Hello,
Disruptive is the default method.
Try with install all nxos bootflash:xxx non-disruptive
