Question about VRRP

hi we have a single switche on side A and a pair of nexus switch's on Side B 

we are adding a second switch to side A. we already had VRRP enabled on Side B

looking to make side A redundant

my question : can i use thee same port-channel on Side A for both switches or will this cause an issue?

I assume this is using VPC/MLAG type of configuration ? Shouldn't be a problem, VRRP is a standard. but if all the switches are nexus, i'd use HSRP
