Hello everyone,
I have a pair of N7010's with SUP1's and FAB1's and I am looking into what it takes to get these chassis to support 40/100G linecards. Below is what I currently have in each chassis.
Mod Ports Module-Type Model Status
--- ----- ----------------------------------- ------------------ ----------
1 32 10 Gbps Ethernet XL Module N7K-M132XP-12L ok
2 48 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet XL Module N7K-M148GT-11L ok
3 32 10 Gbps Ethernet XL Module N7K-M132XP-12L ok
5 0 Supervisor Module-1X N7K-SUP1 active *
6 0 Supervisor Module-1X N7K-SUP1 ha-standby
Xbar Ports Module-Type Model Status
--- ----- ----------------------------------- ------------------ ----------
1 0 Fabric Module 1 N7K-C7010-FAB-1 ok
2 0 Fabric Module 1 N7K-C7010-FAB-1 ok
3 0 Fabric Module 1 N7K-C7010-FAB-1 ok
Thanks everyone in advance for your inputs / suggestions !!!

Hello Danny,
You might have a few options, all of them with different costs.
You might want to add 2 FABv1 and some N7K-M206FQ-23L(6x40G) or N7K-M202CF-22L (2x100G).
Or you might replace SUPs with SUP2E, FABs with FABv2 and buy some N7K-M324FQ-25L (24x40), they won't work with all you M1 cards though.
It depends as well on what features you are using, if you are using the XL license and so on.
I'd suggest you to take a look at the following matrix: https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/nexus7000/sw/matrix/technical/reference/Module_Comparison_Matrix.pdf and make sure that if you buy new hardware it will satisfy all your requirements.

Hello ADP,
Thanks ADP !!! I appreciate your inputs !!
The first option seems to be more cost effective, however SUP1 and FAB1 are end of life and will be end of support soon. I am debating if I should go this route or just get a whole new chassis.
