If i shutdown the pair in VSS, can I bring them both UP sententiously or should I bring the main switch Up first and then the secondary? The switch is C6832-X-LE.
You don't need to power the active one first and then the second one. You can boot'em up at the same time and the VSS election will take place to choose which one is going to be active and/or standby.
As long as you have good configuration in Place, it not matter as suggest by @Francesco Molino.
Personally if this live environment, i do 1 chasis at a time and make sure all links coming up as expected by checking the logs and show switch and other VSS related commands.
