vxlan working but no ping between interface vlan

i config it on c9300x

i have ping from host 1 to host 2

but my question is

when i config on each vtep interface vlan (the same vlan and subent) with ip address to check if the vxlan works

i done have ping between the interface vlan but i have ping between the hosts?

whats the reason?

I found the problem..the ip pim-rp- address was config with wrong ip

This doesn't seem like a normal scenario because we usually enable anycast gateway. This allows the same VLAN to have the same address on different VTEPs, which obviously cannot be pinged.

However, if you haven't enabled anycast gateway and the addresses of the same VLAN on VTEP1 and VTEP2 are different, then you might need to redistribute the directly addresses to BGP EVPN.
