Update on P6 Decouple and Retirement

As you may be aware from previous news articles on this topic, Primavera (P6) is being decoupled from Delivery Collaboration Portal (DCP) and Oracle Projects (OP), and retired in preparation for the migration of all subscription and transaction projects into the Service Delivery Platform (SDP) in FY21. Infosec compliance is another aspect hastening this decouple/retirement.

This decouple will occur on February 14, 2021. As part of this activity, all P6 data will be migrated to Oracle Projects (OP), so no data is lost and no reporting is  affected.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Project data migration from P6 to Oracle Projects:

• All activity data for active projects in P6 will be moved to OP on February 14, 2021.
• Data from closed or canceled projects will not be migrated into OP
• Tableau data will remain as-is
• Activities previously created in P6 will be able to be created and managed in OP or the Activity Management module of the Delivery Collaboration Portal (DCP) as of February 14th
• DCP Activity Management will integrate directly with OP

How to prepare for the migration from P6 to OP:

• Review the P6 Retirement Training created to support users through this transition
• Input any activities you wish to be migrated into OP by 5pm PST, Friday, February 12th
• Anything input after this time will not be migrated over and will require re-entering into OP
