Since the November release, you might have noticed little flags appearing when selecting your external contacts for publishing, submitting for approval ... What do they mean ?

Customer Data Protection is key within Cisco. As such, when Publishing a document, or whenever a Customer or Partner is invited for an approval or discussion, it is key that the documents made available do not end in the wrong hands.

To help you select the right customer contacts, DCP provides now a Confidence score calculation for your selected customer contacts.

The confidence score calculation compares the party IDs provided in the cisco.com profile of the selected customer contact with the party IDs of the primary and/or end-customer associated to the document that is published.

This comparison (confidence calculation) will result in a score that can vary from 4 (Safe !) to 0 (Verify identity !).

A tool-tip reveals the Confidence score calculated and the meaning of it.

The score (in case of red or orange flag) will not prevent you from selecting a customer contact but will raise your attention if an identity verification is required.

What should i do when i get a orange or red flag ?

Double-check that you selected the correct customer contact, verify the email address which is provided with his/her name or use the CPR tool. If you're confident that you selected the correct customer contact, go ahead with the action (publishing, submitting for approval, ...).

More details on how the score is calculated is provided in this new user guide article.

We are working on some guidelines on how to improve your customer contact's cisco.com profile by adding relevant party IDs. We will post it here when ready.
