I looked at the instructions for installing the VPN client located here and it says that I can download the Anycast VPN client for Linux here. The problem is when I go to the link the only downloads that are available are for Mac and Windows. Does anyone know where I can obtain the Linux package?

Hi mf6872001,

I'd to know what Linux's distribution you have, but for now, I've been searching the package for Linux and I found this for Ubuntu, you will need an account of the page to download it:

  1.  https://it.umn.edu/downloads-guides

Find Anyconnect for Linux.

The instructions are:

  1. tar -zxvf anyconnect-linux64-4.6.03049-predeploy-k9.tar.gz
  2. cd anyconnect-linux64-4.6.03049
  3. cd vpn
  4. sudo ./vpn_install.sh

and that's all.

Hope this help.

Hi,

Try the openconnect. It is found at the following link: http://www.infradead.org/openconnect/index.html

You can also find it in the repository for you linux version i.e. for Ubuntu you can install via "sudo apt install openconnect"

Thanks

John

Thanks for this johnd2310

I thought I found a Cisco Anyconnect VPN client for Linux a couple of weeks ago and there is a link to a page to get one in the official download/install documents but it just takes you to the windows/mac download page which is kind of annoying. I wonder if they just didn't have enough usage to make it worthwhile to maintain.

I can't find it anywhere other than university websites and I can't get an account without signing up as a student. oh well the resource below looks like it will work

just to save others time, in my second comment above I was referring to the official any connect not open connect.

I found something there http://ttcit.net/download/linux/

Hello,

You can find in on https://wiki.yatebts.com/ - main page, center-right, there is a Download section.

You will see an entry called: 'Any Connect linux client'

Have a good day!

Available (seemingly) from Cisco's site here:

https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286281283/type/282364313/release/4.7.04056

...*but* you need to have a service contract linked to your account. It is to laugh. This whole site seems to be designed by lawyers.

As some other commenters noted, searching for the package name turns up plenty of sources. The FTP site of TU Graz in Austria seems trustworthy, so I downloaded from there and it worked. https://ftp.tugraz.at/tu-graz/vpn/

Rather than scrounging around the internet for a Linux client I use the networkmanager open connect client.  This not only provides VPN capabilities with Cisco but a nice assortment of other vendors.

Here is the link to the arch linux wiki:https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/OpenConnect

I'm sure there are similar options for Debian and Red Hat based distros.
