Multi IOS Sandbox virl simulation indicates another simulation is already running when attempting to run a new simulation

I'm receiving the following errors when attempting to start a simulation using the virl command:

(venv) ➜ virldemo virl logs
Exception raised while running your command
Please open an issue and provide this info:
404 Client Error: Simulation "virldemo_default_aPMVRP" not found. for url: http://10.10.20.160:19399/simengine/rest/events/virldemo_default_aPMVRP
(venv) ➜ virldemo

(venv) ➜ virldemo virl up virlfiles/2-ios-router
Sim virldemo_default_aPMVRP already running
(venv) ➜ virldemo

Virl indicates another simulation is already running, but it is not.

Try running :

virl ls --all
