Phone CISCO CP - 7841 reject

Hello community.

I needed to replace a phone here at the company by changing the number and user profile. After doing this, the phone was in "reject" mode in CUCM.

Please, could you guide me on how to remove it from reject mode and why this happened?

The Cisco RIS Data Collector parameter controls the RIS Database Information Storage Period for unregistered or rejected Device.

After the time specified in the RIS Unused Cisco CallManager Device Store Period, the CUCM removes the expired entries in the next RIS Database Cleanup, specified in the RIS Cleanup Time of Day parameter.

Please take a look at the values of:

RIS Unused Cisco CallManager Device Store Period

RIS Cleanup Time of Day

 since it is just one PhoneFactory Reset the 7841 Phone is an option, have you tried it ?

Yes, i have done that but without successful, i until deleted the phone from CUCM, connected back but still reject.

 in other words,

  • 1st you deleted the Phone from CUCM
  • 2nd you Factory Reset the Phone
  • 3rd you created the Phone again in CUCM

is that correct ?

If the answer is No, could you please try these steps in this order ?

Yes i have done all this steps, didnt work.

I was reading here in community, there is something regard "RIS Unused Cisco CallManager Device Store Period "
