Catalyst 8200 and 8300 DRAM Upgrade

Hi,

I need to upgrade DRAM for several Catalyst models from 8G to 16G but wondering if I can simply add another 8G module or if I need to remove the existent 8G module and add a 16G module. How many slots are on those boxes?

This should be replacement as you have one slots for Removable M.2 card. If you have only one slot, you dont have much alternative but replace the current 8GB to 16GB. 

 And you need to check which card do you have or intend to buy. 

• DRAM options
• 1x 16GB DDR4 (upgrade)
• 1x 32GB DDR4 (upgrade)

Yes, that was exactly my question, if just one slot is available. In fact I have now found this information at one FAQ for the 8200. Thanks for the hint.

Note:         A single Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) configuration is supported. The upgrade options available are 1x 8GB, 1x 16GB and 1x 32GB.
