What happens when license keys in CISCO ESA expire?

Just curious, if i wont renew the subscription license will my ironport be disabled? or its still working but couldnt do updates anymore..

Improving question:

1. Will check the reputation of all incoming messages through SenderBase?

2. Will the anti-spam and anti-virus module works with the last received an update or an anti-spam and antivirus will be off?
