Cisco Duo

New Features

Now Generally Available: Duo Directory

  • Discover groundbreaking identity security innovations that frustrate attackers, not users. Our security-first Identity and Access Management solution makes phishing-resistant authentication deployable for all, while the inclusion of Cisco Identity Intelligence enables organizations to continuously monitor and respond to changes in identity risk, with the world-class user experience Duo is known for.

Available in Duo Essentials, Duo Advantage, and Duo Premier plans.

Now Generally Available: Bluetooth Autofill and Proximity Verification authentication methods

Enhancements

  • Passwordless:
    • When an action occurs that would trigger revocation of the "Remember me” cookie, we will now also revoke any passwordless push cookies that were created before the date of the action. This will require authentication with a password, followed by MFA. The signals that revoke this are listed in this Duo KB article
    • All passwordless authentication methods are now enabled by default in the global policy for customers who sign up after June 2025. New custom policies created by any customer will reflect these defaults, as will reverting existing Global Policy settings to default.
  • The Endpoints table and the User Endpoints table have a new column “Registered by Duo Desktop” that displays the registration status of a device. This status is “NA” for mobile devices, “Yes” for computers that are registered with Duo Desktop, and “No” for devices that are not registered with Duo Desktop. This change does not include filtering based on “Registered by Duo Desktop”.
